What is Top Golf?
Our user pay event this year will take us a short drive south of the city to Top Golf. For anyone who hasn’t experienced Top Golf, think of it like a new spin on the bowling alley. Players hit golf balls out on the range, aiming at lighted targets to score points. The golf balls are equipped with microchips to keep track of the players score. Games are designed so the player doesn’t have to hit the ball a great distance and the targets are large enough that nearly every shot scores points. This makes it easy for those with little or no golf experience to jump right in. In between turns the players will enjoy music, food, and beverages making for a really great time with friends. Check out the video to see it for yourself!
Airport Transportation - Light Rail
The committee has received some questions about the Light Rail train transportation from Denver International Airport to the Marriott City Center. RTD Light Rail trains leave the airport every 15 minutes and drop passengers at Union Station. From union station passengers can take the free 16th St. MallRide bus to California St. and walk about 1.5 blocks to the hotel and conference center. The A line costs $9 each way and tickets are payable by cash or credit at the kiosk. For a complete breakdown of transportation options available in Denver visit the transportation page or the RTD Airport Transportation Guide.
Venue Profile: Wings Over the Rockies
This years Gala Event is being held at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum, a 180,000 square foot hangar on the former Lowry Air Force campus. We will wrap up an informative week and bid farewell to friends new and old among the 50 aircraft on display at the museum. Greeting us at the museum is a massive B-52 Stratofortress, an aircraft that took flight in the 1950’s and still serves in the American military today. Inside the hangar we will enjoy food and drink while checking out jets like the F-104 Starfighter and even a replica Star Wars X-Wing! You can visit the Wings Over the Rockies page to learn more about all the aircraft on display.
